Following a competitive pitch, communications consultant The Honey Partnership has been appointed by HARMAN Lifestyle Audio as JBL’s first UK social media agency of record.
JBL has been developing audio products for seven decades, starting off creating speakers for cinema and concert venues. Today, JBL aims to elevate experiences with immersive audio to “make life more epic” with smart and wireless audio products, such as portable speakers and headphones.
Honey’s brief includes tailoring the JBL message to a UK audience, content creation, community management, seeding and event amplification. Campaigns will focus on JBL’s consumer range, which includes smart portable speakers, headphones and home audio.
Dave Seedorf, senior digital marketing and social media specialist EMEA at Harman Lifestyle, said: “Honey’s creative flair, understanding of the target audience and consumer technology track record is exactly what we need for JBL. We are always innovating and see social media as key to further build our JBL brand and grow our business in the UK.”
Chris Adams, head of social of The Honey Partnership, said: “JBL is a superbrand in the making built on a rich music heritage. There are exciting opportunities on the horizon and Honey’s social creative team will bring JBL to life and get people talking, sharing and engaging.”
