Somerset family cider maker, Thatchers, has launched its latest TV campaign called ‘Family’, which aims to reinforce the family values behind everything it does.
The campaign, described as warm and true-to-life, is being broadcast nationally on TV and Video on Demand.
As in previous campaigns, the company’s managing director, Martin Thatcher, makes a cameo appearance, and in this ad he is joined by family members Anne and Eleanor, as well as by cider makers Richard Johnson and Sophie Jennings. The voiceover was recorded by comedian Bill Bailey.
The ad was directed by award-winning British director Steve Reeves, and has been produced by London-based Another Film Company. McCann Bristol took the reins as the creative agency behind the project, and media agency Bray Leino also played a part in the campaign.
Discussing the campaign, Martin Thatcher said: “The sense of family runs very strongly throughout all we do at Thatchers, from our heritage and traditions, through to our quality and expertise in cider making. It’s something we’re all very proud of, and we know it’s something that will always stay true. There’s never been a better time to reinforce the message of family and caring for each other.”
A 40 and 30 second ad will showcase Thatchers’ cider portfolio of Thatchers Gold, Haze, and Rosé, accompanied by a social campaign.
Thatchers has been the top performer in the cider category over lockdown, with sales increasing by 108.7% over the past 12 weeks.
